eLearning platform on mobile devices
ELEARNING & EDTECH · LUCKNOW & TORONTO

eLearning platforms that students actually finish.

We build LMS platforms, course apps, live classes and online exams for schools, coaching institutes, edtech startups and training teams. Getting content online is the easy bit. We put most of our effort into what makes students come back tomorrow, and what saves teachers an hour a day.

  • Pilot with one batch or one course in about 4 to 6 weeks
  • Works on budget phones and patchy 4G, in Hindi and other regional languages
  • Connects to your existing ERP, fee system and payment gateway

Tools and platforms we work with

  • AWS
  • Google Cloud
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Firebase
  • Razorpay
  • Zoom SDK
  • Docker
How we think about it

Three things every learning platform has to get right.

Most platforms we're asked to fix had plenty of features. They just missed one of these.

Students keep coming back

Short lessons, clear next steps, streaks and quick quiz results. A student should always know what to do next when they open the app.

Teachers save time

Attendance in one tap, tests that grade themselves and content uploads that don't need a developer. If the platform adds work for teachers, they'll stop using it.

It works on real networks

Videos adjust to slow connections, lessons can be downloaded, and the platform stays up on result day when everyone logs in at once.

Sound familiar?

Signs you've outgrown Zoom links and WhatsApp groups.

A lot of institutes went online in a hurry and stitched tools together. It got them through. It's rarely what they'd choose today.

01

Students sign up and then disappear

Plenty of enrolments, very few completions. Nobody can tell you which lesson students give up on, or why.

02

Teaching lives in five different apps

Classes on Zoom, notes on WhatsApp, tests on Google Forms and fees in a register. Students and parents have to keep track of all of it.

03

Teachers spend evenings checking papers

Every test is marked by hand, every attendance sheet is typed up, and every parent query comes by phone.

04

Your recorded lectures get shared for free

Paid course videos turn up in Telegram groups, and there's no simple way to stop it.

05

The platform freezes on big days

Live class at 7 p.m. or results at 10 a.m., and the site slows to a crawl just when everyone needs it.

06

You want to sell courses beyond your city

Your teaching is good enough for students across India or abroad. Your current setup isn't built to sell and deliver at that scale.

Why Softfix

How we work compared to a typical agency.

Plenty of companies can build a course website. Fewer think about the student who opens it on a ₹8,000 phone at 11 p.m.

What matters
Softfix
Typical agency
Starting point

We sit in on a few classes and talk to teachers and students before planning features.

A feature list copied from a well-known edtech app.

Rollout

Pilot with one batch or one department, fix what comes up, then roll out to everyone.

Everyone moves over on the same day.

Mobile experience

Tested on low-cost Android phones and slow networks, with offline downloads.

Tested on the developer's laptop and office Wi-Fi.

Content protection

Watermarked, encrypted video and limits on how many devices can log in.

Plain video links that are easy to download and share.

Hosting & DevOps

We set up and run the servers too, and scale them for exam and result days.

You arrange hosting separately.

After launch

Ongoing support and new modules, plus SEO and ads if you're selling courses.

A short warranty, then hourly billing.

Problems we solve

Everyday headaches, and what we do about them.

1

Students drop off halfway

The problem

They start a course with enthusiasm, miss a week and never come back.

What we build

  • Short lessons with a clear "next up" on the home screen
  • Streaks, badges and quick quizzes after each lesson
  • Reminders when a student goes quiet for a few days

The result: More students reach the end of the course, and you can see exactly where the rest stopped.

2

Teachers are buried in admin

The problem

Marking, attendance and replying to parents eat up the time that should go into teaching.

What we build

  • Tests that mark themselves and show topic-wise results
  • Attendance in one tap, synced to the parent app
  • Automatic progress updates to parents on WhatsApp

The result: Teachers get hours back every week, and parents stop calling to ask how their child is doing.

3

Paid content gets leaked

The problem

A course you spent months recording ends up in a free Telegram channel within days.

What we build

  • Encrypted video streaming with no download link
  • Watermarks showing the student's name and phone
  • A limit on how many devices one account can use

The result: Your courses stay with the people who paid for them.

4

Everything is spread across apps

The problem

Classes, notes, tests and fees each live somewhere different, and the data never matches up.

What we build

  • One app for classes, material, tests and fees
  • Connections to your ERP and payment gateway
  • A single dashboard for the management team

The result: Students use one app, and your office stops copying data between systems.

5

The site crashes on big days

The problem

Live classes, test series and result announcements all bring traffic spikes the old setup can't handle.

What we build

  • Cloud hosting that scales up automatically
  • Video delivered through a CDN close to your students
  • Load testing before every big exam or launch

The result: The platform stays fast on your busiest day, and you only pay more when traffic actually goes up.

6

You find out about weak students too late

The problem

By the time the term exam shows a problem, there isn't much time left to help.

What we build

  • Topic-wise scores for every student and class
  • Early alerts when attendance or marks start slipping
  • Suggested revision topics for each student

The result: Teachers can step in weeks earlier, while it still makes a difference.

AI that helps, not hype

AI features for students and teachers.

We'll tell you honestly where AI earns its place. These are the features we see making a real difference.

Doubt-solving assistant

Answers student questions from your own notes and syllabus, and shows which page the answer came from so students can check it.

Question generation

Teachers turn a chapter into a set of practice questions in minutes, then review and edit before publishing.

Personal revision plans

Looks at each student's test results and suggests which topics to revise next, starting with the weakest.

Early warning for at-risk students

Spots students whose attendance or scores are falling so counsellors and teachers can reach out in time.

Not sure what to build first?

Tell us how many students you teach and what's bothering you most. We'll suggest one module to pilot and give you a written estimate.

How we work

From first call to a live classroom.

Six steps, with a pilot batch in the middle, so you see it working with real students before everyone moves over.

01

Understand how you teach (1–2 weeks)

We look at your courses, batches and the tools you use today. We also talk to a few teachers and students, not just the management team.

02

Design for each role (2–3 weeks)

Separate screens for students, teachers, parents and admins. You click through a working prototype before we write any code.

03

Build in sprints (6–10 weeks)

Two-week sprints, each ending with a demo you can try yourself. Payments, video and your ERP get connected along the way.

04

Pilot with one batch (2–4 weeks)

One batch, course or department uses it for real. We fix whatever students and teachers run into.

05

Roll out to everyone (Phased)

We bring the remaining batches, campuses or departments on board in stages and train teachers as each group goes live.

06

Support and grow (Ongoing)

Monitoring, updates and help on exam days. New modules and AI features get added as you need them.

Security & standards

Student data handled with care.

Many of your users are children. We plan for privacy, consent and content standards in the first week, not after launch.

Privacy laws

  • DPDP Act 2023, including parental consent for minors
  • GDPR for EU and UK learners
  • COPPA and FERPA for US schools
  • Option to host all data in India

Content standards

  • SCORM packages
  • xAPI (Tin Can) tracking
  • LTI to plug into other LMS tools
  • Import from Moodle and Google Classroom

Security

  • ISO 27001:2022 certified processes
  • Encrypted video and data storage
  • Role-based access and audit logs
  • OWASP testing, OAuth 2.0 and single sign-on
Technology

A stack chosen for your scale.

A tuition centre with 300 students doesn't need the same setup as a national test-prep brand. We recommend based on your numbers and monthly budget.

Cost

What affects the cost of an eLearning app.

Two platforms that look alike on the surface can differ a lot underneath. These are the things that move the price.

01

Who uses it

Students only is simpler. Adding teachers, parents, admins and branch managers means more screens and permissions.

02

Live vs recorded

Recorded courses are lighter to build. Live classes with chat, polls and recordings need more work and higher running costs.

03

Video protection

Basic streaming is cheap. DRM encryption, watermarks and device limits add setup time and a small monthly fee.

04

Exams and proctoring

Simple quizzes are quick. Large question banks, rank lists and proctored exams take noticeably longer.

05

Integrations

Each connection to an ERP, HR system, payment gateway or another LMS adds setup and testing.

06

Number of learners

A few hundred students and a few lakh need very different hosting, video delivery and architecture.

FAQ

Questions institutes ask us.

01 How much does an eLearning app cost?

It depends on who will use it, whether you need live classes, how much video protection you want and what we need to connect with. A simple course app costs far less than a multi-campus LMS. After a short call, we'll send a written quote split into phases.

02 How long does it take to build?

A pilot module for one batch usually goes live in about 4 to 6 weeks. A full platform for one campus takes around 3 to 4 months. Bigger multi-campus projects take 5 months or more, delivered in stages.

03 Can you stop students from downloading and sharing our videos?

We can make it much harder. Videos are encrypted and streamed without a download link, watermarked with the student's details and limited to a set number of devices. No system can stop someone filming their screen with another phone, but the watermark makes leaks easy to trace.

04 Will it work for students with slow internet?

Yes. Video quality adjusts to the connection, lessons can be downloaded inside the app for offline viewing, and we test on low-cost Android phones before launch.

05 Can the app be in Hindi or other regional languages?

Yes. The interface and your content can be shown in Hindi and other Indian languages, and students can switch between them.

06 Do you support live classes?

Yes. We can build live classes into the platform or connect with tools like Zoom. Either way, students join from inside your app and recordings are saved to the course afterwards.

07 Can you connect with our school ERP or existing LMS?

In most cases, yes. We work through APIs and standards like SCORM, xAPI and LTI. If you're moving off Moodle or Google Classroom, we can bring your existing content and student records across.

08 How do students pay for courses?

Through Razorpay or another gateway of your choice, with one-time payments, subscriptions, EMIs, coupons and automatic GST invoices.

09 Is student data safe?

Yes. We use encryption, role-based access and audit logs, follow the DPDP Act including parental consent for minors, and can host everything in India.

10 What happens after launch?

We stay on for support, monitoring and updates, and we keep a close watch around exams and results. If you're selling courses, we can also run SEO and ads to bring in students.
