EMI dates bring the system to its knees
For 25 days a month nobody complains. Then the 5th comes around, thousands of NACH debits hit together, and the system either crawls or starts throwing errors.
We help businesses across multiple industries build scalable, secure and future-ready digital products. Our team combines deep technical expertise with industry knowledge to deliver custom software solutions that drive growth.
Let's Talk
Most of our fintech work is for NBFCs, lenders and payment companies, plus a few startups. We’ve built loan systems, KYC flows, payment platforms and wealth apps. Whatever we build keeps a record of who did what, produces the reports your regulator wants, and is sized for where your volumes will be next year.

Rails and services we connect to
Fintech products rarely struggle at the idea stage. The trouble starts when real volume, real customers and a real audit all arrive in the same quarter.
For 25 days a month nobody complains. Then the 5th comes around, thousands of NACH debits hit together, and the system either crawls or starts throwing errors.
Someone in finance spends days matching bank statements, gateway reports and your ledger, and the numbers still don’t quite tie.
Who changed this loan’s interest rate, and when? If the answer is “we’ll check with the team”, that’s a finding waiting to happen.
An applicant uploads a slightly blurry PAN card, gets rejected and has to start over. A lot of them just don’t bother.
Your business team wants a new loan product. Tech says it’ll take three months because the change touches half the codebase, and nobody is fully sure what else might break.
Suspicious applications or transactions are spotted in the monthly review, not at the moment they happen.
Plenty of agencies can make a nice-looking app. In lending or payments, though, the hard part is what happens when an auditor starts asking questions or a payment bounces halfway through.
| What matters | Softfix | Typical agency |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | We sit with your credit, risk, compliance and ops teams and map the reports your regulator expects. | Screens first, regulation later. |
| Data design | Entries are never edited. If something needs correcting, we add a reversal, so the history stays intact. | Records that anyone with database access can quietly change. |
| Edge cases | We walk through real cases from your ops team, like a part payment, a bounced NACH or a settlement mismatch, before coding. | Found in production by your customers. |
| Audit trail | You can see who made each change, when they made it, which device they used and what the old value was. | Some logs, if you’re lucky. |
| Releases | Tests run automatically on each change, and your ops lead has to approve before it goes live. | Manual testing just before launch. |
| Ownership | You own the source code and the cloud accounts. No lock-in. | Code held back or tied to their hosting. |
A co-operative bank and a funded fintech startup work at very different scales. Both still have to pass the same audit.
Loan origination, underwriting, disbursal, EMI collection, collections and the RBI reports that go with them.
The unglamorous but critical parts. Getting merchants onboarded, collecting over UPI, settling on time, and sorting out refunds and disputes when they come up.
Apps where retail investors can see their portfolio, start or pause SIPs and buy mutual funds, with a separate dashboard for their advisor.
Group loans, member records and an app for field officers who spend most of the day in villages with no signal.
An MVP built on solid foundations, so you don’t have to rebuild the ledger when your first big partner signs on.
Policy issuance, claims workflows, agent portals and customer self-service apps, with IRDAI reporting in mind.
From the screen a credit officer uses every morning to the report your finance head signs at quarter close.
Takes a loan from the first application to the day it closes. Credit checks, approvals, sanction letters, EMIs and NPA tracking all happen in the same place.
Your team gets a daily list of who to follow up with. Borrowers get reminders on WhatsApp, and field agents log visits with their location and can collect on the spot.
Customers verify themselves with Aadhaar, PAN or a quick video call. Behind the scenes, we read their documents, upload to CKYC and run AML checks.
Money coming in and going out over UPI, NACH or IMPS. We’ve worked with Razorpay, PayU and Cashfree, so we know where each one tends to cause trouble.
Users top up, spend and check their balance. Cards are issued through a partner bank, and you decide the limits for each user.
Investors track their holdings, set up SIP mandates and buy or redeem mutual funds. Advisors see all their clients on one screen.
RBI returns, CRILC and bureau files come straight out of the system. Nobody has to rebuild them in Excel the night before a deadline.
The system matches bank, gateway and ledger entries on its own. Your finance team only looks at the handful that don’t match.
Origination in one tool, servicing in another and collections in a spreadsheet. Nobody has the full picture of a borrower.
WHAT WE BUILDYour teams stop switching between screens, and reports finally match.
Staff check documents by eye, and applicants wait days for an answer.
WHAT WE BUILDMost people get through in one go. Your team only looks at the few that get flagged.
Someone sits with three reports open, trying to work out why the bank shows ₹14,200 more than the ledger.
WHAT WE BUILDFinance closes the books faster, with far fewer late nights.
An auditor asks who approved a particular waiver. Two people then spend the afternoon scrolling through old emails and WhatsApp chats.
WHAT WE BUILDAudit requests take hours to answer, not weeks.
EMI dates, salary days and sale events bring transaction spikes the current setup wasn’t built for.
WHAT WE BUILDPayments go through on your busiest day, and failures are retried without anyone stepping in.
Fake documents and suspicious transactions are only noticed in the monthly review.
WHAT WE BUILDRisky cases are held for review before money moves, not after.
AI where it pays off
Smarter decisions, with a human still signing off
In finance, every automated decision has to be explainable. We use AI to help your teams decide faster, and we keep a clear record of why each decision was made.
Credit scoring with more data
Combines bureau data with bank statements and Account Aggregator data, so thin-file applicants get a fair assessment.
Fraud scoring
Flags applications and transactions that look unusual compared to normal patterns, and sends them for manual review.
Document reading
Pulls details from bank statements, salary slips and ITRs, so underwriters spend time on judgement instead of data entry.
Smarter collections
Suggests which borrowers to call first and when, based on payment history and past responses.
A few examples. Client names are kept private.
Replaced three separate systems with one platform covering origination to collections, with automated RBI reporting and a full audit trail.
Merchant onboarding, UPI collections, T+1 settlement, dispute handling and a reconciliation engine built for high daily volumes.
Retail investors across India sign up, finish KYC and start SIPs from their phone. Advisors get their own dashboard to keep an eye on clients.
Begin with a short discovery. At the end you’ll have a written scope, a cost estimate and a list of the rules that apply to you. It’s something you can put in front of your board.
In fintech, “it works” isn’t enough. Every screen, transaction and API call has to hold up when someone checks it later.
We spend time with the people who run credit, risk, compliance and operations. By the end we know your products, who approves what, and which reports the regulator expects from you.
A ledger-style data design, audit trails that can’t be edited, role separation and encryption. This is the foundation everything else sits on.
Your ops team gives us ten tricky real-life cases, like a part payment or a settlement mismatch. We walk through each one before writing code.
Two-week sprints with automated regression tests and load tests for your peak days. Nothing ships without sign-off from our QA lead and your ops lead.
Vulnerability testing, a compliance review and user acceptance testing with your teams on real scenarios.
Go-live in stages with a rollback plan ready. After that, monitoring, security patches and help with regulator queries.

Hosting, scaling and releases
Launching something new, replacing an old system or adding capacity to your own team all call for a different approach.
We map your products, regulatory obligations and data flows. You get a scoped plan and estimate.
Design, build, integrations and launch for a new lending, payments or wealth platform, handled by one team.
Older systems that still work but can’t keep up. We migrate in phases while transactions keep running.
Our engineers become part of your team. They attend your standups, work in your tools and don’t split their time with other clients.
Two apps can look the same on a phone and be very different underneath. These are the things that decide the budget.
A wallet or an EMI calculator is a small job. A full lending platform or payment switch is a much bigger one.
Lending, payments and investments don’t share the same rulebook. Each brings its own reports and audit checks.
Each outside system we connect to, whether it’s a credit bureau or Tally, needs its own setup and testing.
Handling a few hundred loans a month is one thing. A million UPI payments a day needs a very different setup.
If you already have a loan book, moving it over without losing a rupee takes time. We plan for that instead of rushing it.
Features like credit scoring or fraud checks add to the build. They usually earn it back through fewer bad loans and less manual work.
Backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps and QA all sit together in our Lucknow office, with a second office in Toronto. Nothing is passed on to freelancers, which matters when the code is handling other people’s money.
You own the source code from day one, and we document as we go so your own team can take over whenever you’re ready.

Yes, lending is a big part of what we do. We’ve worked with older NBFCs moving off legacy software and with new digital lenders starting from scratch, on everything from origination to collections and RBI reports.
Honestly, it varies a lot. A focused MVP costs a fraction of a complete lending or payments platform. We normally suggest a short paid discovery first, because any number we give before that is mostly a guess.
Discovery takes 2 to 3 weeks. A focused MVP usually takes 3 to 4 months, and a full platform around 4 to 6 months or more, depending on integrations and migration.
We treat it as a design requirement from the start. We map your obligations during discovery, then build the audit trails, data residency, approval controls and reports your regulator expects. Your compliance team reviews the design before we build.
We design payment flows to meet PCI DSS requirements and usually work through certified gateways and tokenisation partners, so card data never touches your servers. Formal PCI certification is done by an approved assessor, and we support you through it.
Usually, yes. Where APIs exist we use them. Where they don’t, we build secure file-based or scheduled data exchanges with a full audit trail.
Yes. We migrate in phases, run the old and new systems side by side for a period, and reconcile balances at each step so nothing is lost or doubled.
You do. The source code, documentation and cloud accounts are yours, with no lock-in. We sign an NDA before any detailed discussion.
Yes, including credit scoring with alternate data, fraud scoring and document reading. We keep a record of why each automated decision was made so it can be explained to customers and auditors.
We provide monitoring, security patches, help with regulator and auditor queries, and new features under a support plan. Annual security testing can be included.
